Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    beef flank or round steak
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn oil
  • 1/4 c
    orange peel, grated
  • 1 can(s)
    clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 c
    beef broth
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 c
    dry sherry
  • 1/4 c
    orange peel, slivered
  • 1/2 tsp
    crushed dried red pepper
  • 1/3 c
    marmalade

How to Make Oriental Spicy Orange Beef

Step-by-Step

  1. In Wok heat oil to medium heat and add meat 1/3 at a time.
  2. Stir fry 3 minutes or until browned.
  3. Return all beef to wok and add: peel, garlic and ginger.
  4. Stir fry 1 minute.
  5. Stir together: corn starch, beef broth, soy sauce, sherry, marmalade and pepper.
  6. Stir into beef.
  7. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat.
  8. Boil 1 minute.
  9. Serve over rice.
