oriental hamburger stir fry
My 16 year old son, who likes to be creative and make changes to whatever I'm making for dinner, came up with this meal today. We served this with mashed red potatoes. It was quite tasty! :)

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can whole kernel corn, undrained
- 1 can (small) sliced mushrooms, undrained
- 6-8 - black olives, pitted & sliced
- 1-2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder, or adobo brand seasoning
- - cornstarch, for thickening
- TO PAIR IT WITH MASHED POTATOES
- 6 - red potatoes, skins on, cut up
- - butter, milk, pepper for mashed potatoes
How To Make oriental hamburger stir fry

Step 1In frypan, brown ground beef & drain well.

Step 2Add garlic, corn & mushrooms, with juice from cans.

Step 3Add sliced black olives & soy sauce. Simmer.

Step 4Dissolve some cornstarch in 2-3 oz. water & use to thicken juices in hamburger mixture.

Step 5Meanwhile, cut up red potatoes with skins.

Step 6Boil potatoes in salted water until fork tender.

Step 7Place in large bowl. Mash well.

Step 8Add butter, milk, pepper to taste & consistency. Blend well with electric mixer.

Step 9Serve Hamburger mixture along with mashed red potatoes.
