This is so yummy! You can add just about any veggies to it or you could use chicken. Give it a try, you'll be amazed. Does NOT taste like tomato soup at all. We like to double up on the sauce at our house.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound beef sirloin steak, boneless - thinly sliced
  • 2 medium bell peppers - any kind you like - thinly sliced
  • 1 large yellow onion - thinly sliced
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1/4 cup orange juice, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper
  • 4 cups rice, cooked

How To Make orange beef

  • Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until it's well browned and the juices evaporate, stirring often. Push the beef to one side of the skillet.
  • Step 2
Heat the remaining oil in the skillet. Add the pepper and onion and cook until they're tender-crisp.
  • Step 3
Stir the soup, orange juice, soy, vinegar and garlic in a sauce pot and and cook through until it's reduced by about half. I usually double up on these ingredients because some in my house like it more like a "gravy" on top of the rice.
  • Step 4
Stir sauce in with meat and veggie mixture and serve over cooked rice.
