This is so yummy! You can add just about any veggies to it or you could use chicken. Give it a try, you'll be amazed. Does NOT taste like tomato soup at all. We like to double up on the sauce at our house.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 lb
beef sirloin steak, boneless - thinly sliced
  • 2 medium
bell peppers - any kind you like - thinly sliced
  • 1 large
    yellow onion - thinly sliced
  • 1 can(s)
    condensed tomato soup
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice, fresh
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 pinch
    crushed red pepper
  • 4 c
    rice, cooked

How to Make Orange Beef

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until it's well browned and the juices evaporate, stirring often. Push the beef to one side of the skillet.
  2. Heat the remaining oil in the skillet. Add the pepper and onion and cook until they're tender-crisp.
  3. Stir the soup, orange juice, soy, vinegar and garlic in a sauce pot and and cook through until it's reduced by about half. I usually double up on these ingredients because some in my house like it more like a "gravy" on top of the rice.
  4. Stir sauce in with meat and veggie mixture and serve over cooked rice.
