How to Make Onion Smothered Brisket


  • 1Mix garlic powder, paprika and pepper and rub into brisket.
  • 2Heat oil in dutch oven and sear brisket on all sides.
  • 3Remove and set aside.
  • 4Saute onions in dutch oven.
  • 5Replace brisket and cover totally with onions.
  • 6Cover tightly and place in 275 degree oven for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
