Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 5-6 pounds brisket
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 pounds onions, sliced
How To Make onion smothered brisket

Step 1Mix garlic powder, paprika and pepper and rub into brisket.

Step 2Heat oil in dutch oven and sear brisket on all sides.

Step 3Remove and set aside.

Step 4Saute onions in dutch oven.

Step 5Replace brisket and cover totally with onions.

Step 6Cover tightly and place in 275 degree oven for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
