This goes together quickly and is very hearty!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 can 15 ounce hunts tomato sauce
  • 1 can 15 ounce chili beans, undrained
  • 1 can 3 ounce french fried onions
  • 1 cup crushed corn chips
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • - onions chopped (optional)
  • - may substitute tomato soup for sauce, but add a small amount of tomato juice or 1/2 cup to 1 cup salsa

How To Make one-pan taco casserole

  • Step 1
    Brown beef. Drain. Add tomato sauce, chili beans and half of the french fried onions. mix well.
  • Step 2
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add chopped onions if using half way through cooking time.
  • Step 3
    Stir in remaining french fried onions and corn chips. Remove from heat. Sprinkle lettuce around edge of pan. Sprinkle cheese on top. Serve with sour cream.
