The chorizo added to the burger meat adds a great smoky flavor. The burgers alone rocks. Add the toppings and the chipotle mayo, these burgers are amazing!

Ingredients

2 lbground beef (I prefer 80/20) can use chuck, round, sirloin

1/2 lbchorizo (Mexican sausage, mild or medium

1/2 cminced onion

4 slicecolby jack cheese (or shredded)

·sliced tomato

·lettuce leaves

8 slicebacon, fried

·chipotle mayo

·salt and pepper to taste
How to Make One Killer Burger
- Combine beef, chorizo, salt & pepper, and onion and mix together in a bowl.
- Divide mixture into four large patties or 8 smaller patties.
- Grill to your liking. I cook mine to a internal temp of 155 degrees. Top with cheese right before transferring to a platter.
- Dress buns with chipotle mayo. Place pattie, then bacon, and top with tomato and lettuce.
