this sandwich filling recipe is for families who need something to eat on the run.keep it on hand in the refrigerator,ready to warm up quickly at a moments notice. I found this recipe in on of my cookbooks my family loves it.

pizza sauce
1 pkg
3 oz cream cheese,softened
1 pkg
8oz. sliced pepperoni,coarsley chopped (2 1/2 cups)
1/4 c
chopped green onions (4 medium)
1/4 c
finely chopped green pepper bell pepper
1 1/2 c
shredded mozzarella cheese (6 oz)
english muffins or bagels,split,toasted


1In large bowl,mix pizza sauce and cream cheese until well blended. Stir in pepperoni,onions,bell pepper,and 1 cup of the cheese.Cover;refrigerate up to 3 days.
2To make 1 serving,place 2 toasted muffin halves on microwavable plate. Top each half with about 1/4 cup pepperoni mixture and heaping tablespoon remaining cheese.Microwave on High about 1 minute or until hot.
3<if you have a large family or want a larger amount of sandwiches,go ahead and double all ingredients. store in refrigerator no longer than 3 days>
