I wanted a hamburger and my husband wanted mexican food. So we came up with this recipe as a compromise. It was delicious.

prep time 10 Min
cook time 15 Min
method ---
yield 4 or 5, depends on size

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 package old el paso taco seasoning
  • 4 or 5 slices monterrey jack cheese
  • - pico de gallo
  • - guacamole dip (store bought)
  • - shredded lettuce
  • - mayonnaise
  • - hamburger buns

How To Make ole' burgers

  • Step 1
Mix together the ground meat and taco seasoning. I think it's better to let it sit in the fridge covered for at least an hour for the flavors to marry, but it's o.k. if you don't. Form into patties.
  • Step 2
Grill burgers to your desired doneness. Top with cheese to melt.
  • Step 3
Serve on a toasted bun. Dress with remaining ingredients. Even add some of your own.
