I wanted a hamburger and my husband wanted mexican food. So we came up with this recipe as a compromise. It was delicious.

Ingredients For ole' burgers

1 1/2 lbground chuck

1 pkgold el paso taco seasoning

4 or 5 slicemonterrey jack cheese
-
pico de gallo
-
guacamole dip (store bought)

shredded lettuce
-
mayonnaise
-
hamburger buns
How To Make ole' burgers

1Mix together the ground meat and taco seasoning. I think it's better to let it sit in the fridge covered for at least an hour for the flavors to marry, but it's o.k. if you don't. Form into patties.

2Grill burgers to your desired doneness. Top with cheese to melt.

3Serve on a toasted bun. Dress with remaining ingredients. Even add some of your own.
