nothing easier then chili con carne
One of the many ways I like to do chili. Always a family favorite in my house. Plus to if I realy plan ahead I makeit in my crock pot.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 - cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 can whole peeled tomatoes in tomato sauce cut up
- 1 can red kidney beans, drained
- 1 can beef broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper, crushed
- 1 can tomatoe paste
- 6 cups rice, cooked and hot
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup sour cream
How To Make nothing easier then chili con carne

Step 1Heat the oil in a 6 qt. saucepot over medium-high heat.Add in the onions, green peppers & garlic. Cook & stir for about 5 minsor until veggies are tender. Add in the meat cook & stir 5 mins longer.

Step 2Add in the tomatoes with the liquid,the beans tomatoe paste & seasonings.Bring to a boil.Reduce the heat to low. Simmer kind of covered for about 1 hour or until the chili has thickened. Stirring occasionally.

Step 3Serve hot over the rice. Top with the cheese & sour cream.
