The Not-so-Sloppy part? I use hotdog buns instead of hamburger buns.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/4 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 3/4 c
    ketchup
  • 4 tsp
    brown sugar
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Not-So-Sloppy Joes

Step-by-Step

  1. In medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion and green pepper. Drain off liquids
  2. Stir in garlic powder, mustard, ketchup and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly. Stir in salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 min.

    Serve on hotdog buns.
