Ma noted that this is very good! I have never made a pie with the meat in the pie crust. It also doesn't say if the rice should be cooked first or not...I would assume so.

Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 1/2 8 oz can hunts tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon oregano
- FILLING:
- 1 1/3 cups minute rice
- 1 1/2 cups hunts tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup grated cheese

Step 1Combine all ingredients for crust in a bowl and mix well with a fork, then pat the meat mixture gently into the bottom and sides of a greased 9" pie plate.

Step 2For filling, combine rice, tomato sauce, salt, water and 1/2 c cheese. Spoon rice mixture into meat shell. Cover with foil and bake at 3530 degrees for 25 min. Uncover, top with remaining cheese and bake 10-15 min.
