Ma noted that this is very good! I have never made a pie with the meat in the pie crust. It also doesn't say if the rice should be cooked first or not...I would assume so.

- CRUST:

1/28 oz can hunts tomato sauce

1/2 cbread crumbs

1 lbhamburger

1/4 cchopped green pepper

1/4 cchopped onion

1 1/2 tspsalt

1/8 tsppepper

1/8 tsporegano
- FILLING:

1 1/3 cminute rice

1 1/2 chunts tomato sauce

1/2 tspsalt

1 cwater
-
1 cgrated cheese
How To Make new country pie, ma

1Combine all ingredients for crust in a bowl and mix well with a fork, then pat the meat mixture gently into the bottom and sides of a greased 9" pie plate.

2For filling, combine rice, tomato sauce, salt, water and 1/2 c cheese. Spoon rice mixture into meat shell. Cover with foil and bake at 3530 degrees for 25 min. Uncover, top with remaining cheese and bake 10-15 min.
