I have been making this recipe since 1950. Family and friends love it. Please try it,you will not be disappointed. Mashed potatoes and green beans on the side. Makes a wonderful dinner.Nancy

Ingredients

  • 1 - medium onion chopped
  • 3/4 cup diced celery
  • 3 cups soft bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup diced green pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

How To Make stuffing "stuffed " meat loaf

  • Step 1
    To make dressing: brown in 1/4 cup fat, onion and celery. Mix with: bread cubes,water, eggs,green pepper and salt. Mix: ground pork and ground beef together.
  • Step 2
    Pat out 1/2 of meat mixture into a 10x5x3 loaf pan. Cover with the dressing. Then top dressing with the rest of the meat mixture.
  • Step 3
    Bast with tomato juice and 2 Tablespoons melted butter. Bake at 350 for 1- 1/4 hours.
