I love making these on lazy days..just a hint of heat..these babies are always a hit at my house or potlucks..I double and triple the batch, and keep warm in the crock pot of game nights..or when taking to a party..mmm

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 - chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely minced,red bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic , finely minced
  • 1/4 cup fine diced celery
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pinches hot pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon liguid smoke

How To Make my smokin joes

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet over high heat, saute the beef, onions, bell pepper,celery and garlic until the beef is cooked and browning, and all the liquid has boiled off
  • Step 2
    Turn the heat down to low, then add the spices and stir.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the remaining ingredients, then partially cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
  • Step 4
    Prepare buns, and I serve with homemade fries, or chips..
