I love making these on lazy days..just a hint of heat..these babies are always a hit at my house or potlucks..I double and triple the batch, and keep warm in the crock pot of game nights..or when taking to a party..mmm

chopped onion
1/2 c
finely minced,red bell pepper
1 clove
garlic , finely minced
1/4 c
fine diced celery
1 tsp
smoked paprika
1/4 tsp
chipotle powder
1 Tbsp
balsamic vinegar
1 c
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2 pinch
hot pepper flakes
3 Tbsp
brown sugar
1/4 tsp
liguid smoke

How to Make My Smokin Joes


  • 1In a large skillet over high heat, saute the beef, onions, bell pepper,celery and garlic until the beef is cooked and browning, and all the liquid has boiled off
  • 2Turn the heat down to low, then add the spices and stir.
  • 3Stir in the remaining ingredients, then partially cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
  • 4Prepare buns, and I serve with homemade fries, or chips..
