Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 large
    onions, minced
  • 35
    whole black peppercorns
  • 6
    bay leaves
  • 4 small
    red peppers
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper, crushed
  • 2
    garlic cloves, whole
  • 6 oz
    tomato paste
  • 3 c
    water
  • 4 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    ground red pepper
  • 2.5 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1.5 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1.5 tsp
    ground allspice
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    colby cheese, shredded
  • -
    hot cooked pasta

How to Make My Skyline Chili

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown ground beef in skillet with onions.
  2. Drain fat.
  3. Place next 4 ingredients in a spice bag.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients, except cheese and pasta, in a large pot.
  5. Cook over low heat for 3-4 hours.
  6. Don't forget to remove spice bag and whole garlic cloves.
  7. Serve over spaghetti or some type of pasta, topped with shredded Colby cheese and additional chopped onions if desired.
