  • Step 1
wash brisket place seasoned salt, garlic, and parsley on the bottom of large dutch oven on top of stove. turn on med.high. when hot-place brisket in dutch oven, fat side up,and sear[about 4 mins. and season top of meat with the same ingredients as was in the bottom of pot. then turn beef over, and do the same thing. turn down heat to about 2 to 3 on electric stove or low on gas oven. then pour broth and some water till just top of meat is showing. NOW: clean all veggies. slice all veggies on an angle [except onions] slice onion place on and around beef then add celery.carrots, and potatoes,in that order. [of course-peel-cut in half]potatoes they get laid around the top of beef. THEN: put lid on the pot,and go take a bath. you don't want to remove lid till your ready to slice,or if it smells like it's burning. i serve this with a green veggie, applesauce.and some fresh rye bread. also,my crew likes this with horseradish sauce. enjoy this wonderful meal .it's really yummy
