Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning 1.25 oz pkg.
  • 3 tablespoons heinz chili sauce (or ketchup)
  • 1 cup monterrey jack cheese, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green chiles
  • 6 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 6 slices tomato (optional)
  • chopped lettuce (optional)
  • packaged guacamole (optional)
  • 6 toasted buns

How To Make my favorite taco burgers

  • Step 1
In a medium bowl or food processor, mix together ground beef, taco seasoning, and chili sauce. Form into 12 patties.
  • Step 2
Sprinkle 6 of the patties with shredded cheese and green chilies. Top these 6 patties with the remaining 6 patties. Seal well around the edges so cheese won't leak out.
  • Step 3
Grill burgers for 5-7 minutes on each side. Just before the meat is finished, add a slice of pepper jack cheese to the top and allow the cheese to melt slightly.
  • Step 4
Place patties on toasted buns, add tomato slices, lettuce and guacamole - then top with remaining buns.
