This is a combination of several stroganoff recipes. I'm a big fan of recipes that are fairly quick and easy, but taste like they have been cooked for hours. I use left over pot roast for this recipe. This is definitely one of our favorite go to dishes. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    egg noodles
  • 2 c
    cooked shredded beef
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped
  • 8 oz
    sliced mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    red wine
  • 2 c
    beef broth
  • 2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make My Favorite Beef Stroganoff

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until golden.Deglaze pan with wine.
  3. Add beef, beef broth and 1 cup sour cream. Stir until combined. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes. Stir frequently.
  4. Add worcestshire sauce and season with salt and pepper. When done simmering stir in 1 cup sour cream before serving.
  5. Serve over noodles.
    Enjoy!
