my favorite beef stroganoff

This is a combination of several stroganoff recipes. I'm a big fan of recipes that are fairly quick and easy, but taste like they have been cooked for hours. I use left over pot roast for this recipe. This is definitely one of our favorite go to dishes. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 package egg noodles
  • 2 cups cooked shredded beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make my favorite beef stroganoff

  • Step 1
    Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until golden.Deglaze pan with wine.
  • Step 3
    Add beef, beef broth and 1 cup sour cream. Stir until combined. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes. Stir frequently.
  • Step 4
    Add worcestshire sauce and season with salt and pepper. When done simmering stir in 1 cup sour cream before serving.
  • Step 5
    Serve over noodles. Enjoy!
