My Favorite Beef Stroganoff Recipe

This is a combination of several stroganoff recipes. I'm a big fan of recipes that are fairly quick and easy, but taste like they have been cooked for hours. I use left over pot roast for this recipe. This is definitely one of our favorite go to dishes. Hope you enjoy!

egg noodles
2 c
cooked shredded beef
1 small
onion, chopped
8 oz
sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp
1/2 c
red wine
2 c
beef broth
2 c
sour cream
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make My Favorite Beef Stroganoff


  • 1Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • 2Meanwhile, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until golden.Deglaze pan with wine.
  • 3Add beef, beef broth and 1 cup sour cream. Stir until combined. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes. Stir frequently.
  • 4Add worcestshire sauce and season with salt and pepper. When done simmering stir in 1 cup sour cream before serving.
  • 5Serve over noodles.
