Ingredients

  • 3-5 pounds brisket or other lean pot roast cut
  • 1 can cranberry sauce (whole or jellied)
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix

How To Make my ex mother-in-law's pot roast

  • Step 1
    Place meat into a dutch oven or crock pot.
  • Step 2
    mash cranberry sauce on top and sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over meat.
  • Step 3
    Add water to just barely cover. Cook low and slow until "falling apart done" for 3+ hours in dutch oven or 8 hours in the crockpot. Serve with noodles or buckwheat groats.
