Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    saltine cracker crumbs
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1.5 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 8 oz
    pizza sauce
  • 3 slice
    mozzarella, slices
  • ·
    green bell pepper, optional
  • ·
    mushrooms, optional
  • ·
    butter, optional

How to Make Mozzarella Meat Loaf

Step-by-Step

  1. Shape into a loaf and place in a greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.
  2. Bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours or until no pink remains.
  3. Drain.
  4. Spoon pizza sauce over loaf and top with cheese slices.
  5. Return to the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  6. Meanwhile, if desired, saute green pepper and mushrooms in butter.
  7. Arrange on top of meat loaf.
