How To Make mona's taco soup
-
1rinse beans in cold water, chop tomatoes into chunks, any size you like.
-
2brown beef in a 6 or 8qt. pot with heavy bottom. Drain

3add onion and cook until tender, about 10 mins., than add all the rest of the ingredients. simmer for about 20 min.

4soup will be thick, for thinner soup add more water as needed. salt & pepper to taste. I find not much salt & pepper is needed because of the Taco seasoning.
-
5I serve them in chili bowls, i break up some tortilla chips for the bottom of the bowls and add some cheese, than soup., of course more cheese for the top and tortilla chips stuck into the soup all around. you can also use a dollop of sour cream on top. Enjoy!
