Mom used to make this not only in a slow cooker but would use her toaster oven that held a 9x13 pan and cook it low and slow all day! Always smelled good in her home. To keep her kitchen from getting hot in the summer she kept her toaster over on the patio when she used it.

Ingredients For moms yummy pot roast and veggies

  • 4 lb
    chuck roast
  • 1 pkg
    lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 can
    water (use soup can)
  • 1 sm
    package baby carrots
  • 8-10
    red potatoes, small

How To Make moms yummy pot roast and veggies

    Place Chuck Roast into 7 qt crock pot. Sprinkle Onion Soup Mix over roast.

    Mix water and cream of mushroom soup and then pour over the roast. Add Carrots and potatoes.

    Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until roast will pull apart easily with a fork. No need to make a gravy as the drippings fro this is wonderful on mashed potatoes or spooned over the roast. Yum.
