taco seasoning
1 can(s)
tomato sauce
1 1/2 c
1 c
cheese, grated
12 oz
tortilla chips, baked
1 Tbsp
garlic salt
1 tsp
black pepper

How to Make Mom's Taco Casserole


  • 1Saute meat in skillet.
  • 2Add taco seasoning mix, spices, tomato sauce and water.
  • 3Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered 15 minutes.
  • 4Add tortilla chips, mix, being careful not to break chips.
  • 5Pour into a 2 inch deep by 8-inch round or square baking disk.
  • 6Bake in 400 oven for 10-15 minutes.
  • 7Top with cheese, bake a little longer if desired.
