This recipe is one from my mothers old files. She had made this often and we always loved these meatballs over mashed potatoes. Hope you all like these different type of Swedish Meatballs.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    minced onion
  • 3/4 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 can(s)
    tomatoes
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    allspice
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    horseradish
  • 1 tsp
    brown sugar

How to Make Mom's Swedish MeatBalls

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together the meat, onion, bread crumbs, parsley, milk, salt and pepper. Shape into 1 inch balls and brown.
  2. Heat rest of ingredients for about 20 minutes and pour over meatballs. Serve as desired.
