Ingredients
- 8 large bell peppers, green, yellow, orange or red
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups croutons, garlic
- 1 - 2 oz. cans mushrooms, drained
- 2 - tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- - salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 - 4 oz. cans tomato sauce, italian seasoned
How To Make *** mom's stuffed peppers ***

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Slice of top of each pepper. Precook peppers in boiling water, 5 minutes.

Step 3In skillet, brown beef & onions. Drain. Stir in croutons, mushrooms, diced tomato, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper & 1/2 C mozzarella. Spoon into peppers. Bake covered with foil 1/2 hour.

Step 4Uncover & sprinkle rest of cheese. Bake 10 minutes. Cover tops of peppers (on top of cheese) with tomato sauce, cook 10 minutes more.
