My mom used to make these twice a month and we lived for them...they are that delicious!

3 1/2 lb
lean ground beef
1 c
sour cream
1 pkg
parmesan cheese shreds (6 oz)
eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 Tbsp
garlic salt
2 tsp
cracked black pepper
1 1/2 pkg
saltine crackers (crushed)
large onion, finely chopped
medium green pepper, finely chopped
1 c
flour (for dredgin)
1/2 c
olive oil, extra virgin (for frying)

How to Make Mom's Sour Cream Meatballs


  • 1Mix first nine ingredients together in large mixing bowl.
  • 2Form 2 inch balls with dampened hands.
  • 3Dredge balls in flour, then fry in frying pan with hot EVOO until browned on the outside. Place in glass baking dish and place in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.
  • 4Serve with your favorite brown gravy over rice! Enjoy!
