Saw this one in the local paper and it looked too good to pass up. Real easy and one of best meat loaves I've ever prepared.

Ingredients

2 slice
whole wheat bread, toasted and cubed
1/2 c
whole or 1/2 and 1/2 milk
2
eggs, gently beaten
1 c
onion, chopped
1/2 c
parmesan cheese
3 Tbsp
fresh parsley, chopped
1 Tbsp
dijon mustard
2 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1 1/2 lb
lean ground beef
1 c
ketchup

How to Make Mom's Original Meat Loaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees
  • 2In large bowl, place bread crumbs, milk and eggs. Mix well. Add the onion, parmesan cheese, parsley, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • 3Crumble ground beef on top of the mixture and fold together, using your hands.
  • 4Transfer to glass baking dish, sprayed with oil and form into a loaf. Spread ketchup over top of loaf. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
