This is the only meatloaf you won't need ketchup for!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 - medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 - eggs
  • 1 package williams chili seasoning (for 2# meat) or your favorite brand
  • 1 package saltine crackers, crushed (1 sleeve from box)
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces can tomato sauce

How To Make mom's meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375-400 degrees. Mix all ingredients except tomato sauce. Mixture should be somewhat dense and not soupy but not dry either. Use 2 -3 eggs. I usually use 3. Shape into loaf and place in pan. I usually put 2 pieces of stale bread on the bottom of the pan to soak up the grease. Make sure the edges of the loaf are not touching the side of the dish. Top with the can of tomato sauce. Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes or until done. Serve with Momma's Scalloped Potatoes and Homemade bread!
