Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup seasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper, ground

How To Make mom's meat loaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    By hand, thoroughly mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Step 3
    Pack the mixture into a 9-x-5-3-inch loaf pan.
  • Step 4
    Bake for about 1 1/4 hours or until the meat loaf is firm to the touch in the center, golden brown on the top and has pulled away from the sides of the pan.
  • Step 5
    Transfer to a platter.
  • Step 6
    Cut crosswise into slices.
