Loved this dish growing up and I now make it for my family. This recipe is so good in fact that it has been published in one of the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. The sauce makes it!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 - small onion, diced
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
How To Make mom's meat loaf

Step 1Mix first 7 ingredients. Form into loaf and place in baking dish. Mix together ketchup, brown sugar, ground mustard & nutmeg. Spread over top of meat mixture. Bake uncovered for 1 hr. at 350.
