My husband and I always look forward to the cooler months so we can warm up with a bowl of "Mom's Chili"! This is a very mild chili and easy on the stomach.

2 lb
lean ground beef (93/7)
1/2 large
sweet onion, chopped
2-16oz can(s)
mild chili beans
2-16oz can(s)
diced tomatoes
1 pkg
dry mild chili seasoning
1/2-1 tsp
ground cumin
1-2 tsp
sea salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper
2 Tbsp
all purpose flour

How to Make Mom's Chili


  • 1Spray dutch oven with cooking spray. Brown ground beef with onions. Drain. (I rinse mine with hot water to remove any fat that might remain.)
  • 2Stir in chili seasoning, salt, pepper, cumin, and flour.
  • 3Add chili beans and tomatoes; stir. Add approximately 1/2 cup water to create the consistency that you like. Simmer for about 1 hour.
  • 4Serve with shredded cheese and oyster crackers. Enjoy!!!
