Mom's Chili

My husband and I always look forward to the cooler months so we can warm up with a bowl of "Mom's Chili"! This is a very mild chili and easy on the stomach.

2 lb
lean ground beef (93/7)
1/2 large
sweet onion, chopped
2-16oz can(s)
mild chili beans
2-16oz can(s)
diced tomatoes
1 pkg
dry mild chili seasoning
1/2-1 tsp
ground cumin
1-2 tsp
sea salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper
2 Tbsp
all purpose flour


1Spray dutch oven with cooking spray. Brown ground beef with onions. Drain. (I rinse mine with hot water to remove any fat that might remain.)
2Stir in chili seasoning, salt, pepper, cumin, and flour.
3Add chili beans and tomatoes; stir. Add approximately 1/2 cup water to create the consistency that you like. Simmer for about 1 hour.
4Serve with shredded cheese and oyster crackers. Enjoy!!!
