Ingredients

  • 4 pounds ground beef
  • 4 - eggs
  • - seasoning salt to taste
  • - onion salt to taste
  • - black pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • SAUCE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 small cans tomato sauce
  • - spaghetti seasoning to taste
  • - onion salt to taste
  • 1 dash worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, drained
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

How To Make mock parmigiana

  • Step 1
    Combine first 7 ingredients and shape into patties.
  • Step 2
    Set aside.
  • Step 3
    To make sauce, saute onion slices in 3 tablespoons butter until soft.
  • Step 4
    Add remaining ingredients for sauce.
  • Step 5
    Place patties in large baking pan in single layer and pour sauce over.
  • Step 6
    Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake one hour at 375.
  • Step 7
    After baking, remove foil, sprinkle each patty generously with the mozzarella cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted.
