I have been making this hotdish since I was about 8 years old with my mom. Over the years I have tried different variations of it. This dish does not get old.

How to Make MMMmmmm Tator Tot Hotdish

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In large frying pan, brown beef. Add package of Lipton onion soup mix, worcestershire sauce, chopped onion and fresh mushrooms. Make sure onion and mushroom is tender. Drain beef well. Put beef back into skillet.
  3. Add mushroom soup, milk and frozen veggie of your choice.
  4. Spray 9x13 pan. Add meat mixture to pan. Here is when I would add the cheese(optional) and Tatar Tots to the top. Place in oven for about 40 mins. I like the tots crispy not soggy.
