slider burgers and special sauce
These sliders are soooooo good, I never want to eat a regular burger. I have four sons and a husband and they would rather have these than a regular burger. So yummo. I promise you if you try these you will NEVER go back. The special sauce is so good, I make extra and save it in a bottle for all our sandwiches.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
The meat in these mini burgers is so juicy and flavorful. A drizzle of the secret sauce adds a wonderfully tangy flavor. Flattening the meatballs makes them a uniform size, and they cook evenly and quickly, but keep an eye on them. On our indoor grill, they cooked fast. Use your favorite cheese to top these tasty sliders.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground sirloin
- 3 tablespoons dill pickle relish
- 3 tablespoons steak sauce or Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons grill seasoning (I use McCormick Mesquite Grill-Mates)
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- - American cheese, optional
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 package King's Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 oz)
- 2 cups chopped or shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
How To Make slider burgers and special sauce
-
Step 1Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Add the meat, relish, steak sauce, grill seasoning, and paprika to a large bowl. Mix together by hand. Scoop the mixture (I use my cookie scoop filled to heaping) then roll between your hands to make balls. Place the balls on the baking sheet.
-
Step 2Place another piece of parchment paper on top of the round balls. (You can also use wax paper.) Place another cookie sheet on top and push down to flatten the balls. Remove the top sheet of parchment.
-
Step 3Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Bake the patties 10 - 12 minutes. You can also use an indoor or outdoor grill to cook the patties. Just 2 - 3 minutes per side will cook them to medium. Add slices of American cheese, if you wish.
-
Step 4To make the Special Sauce, combine the ranch dressing with the ketchup and black pepper in a small bowl.
-
Step 5Serve the cooked patties on the rolls with the chopped lettuce, onion, and Special Sauce.
