My high school teacher gave me this recipe. It is extremely simple, but very tasty!!

    pre-made pie crust, or make your own
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 c
    onion, diced
  • 1/2 c
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 pkg
    mexican shredded cheese
  • 1

How to Make Mexican Pie


  1. Lay one pie crust in the bottom of a 9 inch pie pan. Fry hamburger. Drain and add taco seasoning, onion and green pepper.
  2. Place hamburger mixture in the pie crust and top with cheese. Add the other pie crust on the top. Close crust with fingers.
  3. Beat the egg. Brush the top of the crust with the egg. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Serve with sour cream and salsa.
