This recipe's story is great and tasty! As I remember, I got it from the One Pot Meals for Diabetics and I wasn't too sure. Seemed like a strange combination. But Surprise! Bestest Bill just loves it. It's now our fave.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3/4 pound hamburger, leanest
  • 3 cups potatoes, baked (nuke), chopped
  • 1` can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 1/2 cups celery, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup raisins, golden, soaked
  • 1 - apple, very thinly sliced a good bite size :)

How To Make mexican hash

  • Step 1
    Brown meat,stirring with onion, garlic, cinnamon, cumin ~~ not too long, just so no pink.
  • Step 2
    Lightly salt potato cubes.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the potatoes and apples and tomatoes.
  • Step 4
    Finish off by stirring in the raisins and celery.
  • Step 5
    Keep hot ten minutes.
