I wanted a new recipe for burgers and this is what I came up with. They were so good if I had been able I would have ate 2 of them, can't wait to cook them again.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 - chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
  • - salt and pepper
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 1 - avocado, sliced, drizzle with lemon or lime juice
  • - salsa verde
  • - hamburger buns( i use kyser rolls)
  • - chipotle mayonnaise (recipe below)

How To Make mexican burger

  • Step 1
    Combine first 6 ingredients, form into 4 patties, grill or fry until done. While patties are still hot top each one with a slice of pepper jack cheese.
  • Step 2
    Chipotle Mayonnaise 1 c mayonnaise 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, chopped 1 T. lime juice Combine all ingredients. Spread mayonnaise on both sides of bun, top with patty, avocado and salsa verde.
