mexi taco pie
A friend gave me this recipe. Haven't tried it but she's a great cook so I'm sure this is a good recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup picante sauce (8 oz)
- 1 large egg
- 1 - 9 in. frozen pie crust
- 1/2 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 1 can chopped green chilis
- 1 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup tortilla chips, broken
- - garnish: shredded lettuce, sour cream, picante sauce, onions, tomatoes
How To Make mexi taco pie

Step 1Brown ground chuck and drain fat. Put back in pan and stir in 1 envelope taco seasoning mix and 1 cup picante sauce.

Step 2Remove from heat and stir in lightly beaten egg.

Step 3In this order, layer 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, 1 can chopped green chilis, cooked ground beef mixture, 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, and 1/3 cup tortilla chips.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes (place casserole on a cookie sheet for baking).

Step 5Garnish with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, picante sauce, onion, olives -- go crazy! You choose!
