This has been an appetizer for the past 30 yrs. Everyone likes it served with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. - ground beef
  • 1 package taco mix seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder,can use more if desired
  • 1 cup sour cream mixed with 1/4 tsp. chil powder
  • - chopped lelttuce (optional)
  • - chopped olives (optional)

How To Make mexi dip

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef until juices run clear and drain.
  • Step 2
    Return ground beef to pan and add refried beans, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, onion, green pepper, chili powder and dry mustard. Mix well and heat until boiling.
  • Step 3
    Spread in a 9 inch pie plate. After cooled in fridge, top with chopped lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice. Also can add chopped tomatoes or toppings of your choice.
