My mom made this recipe up when I was growing up and has been a favorite hotdish for 50 yrs. It is easy and tastes better the day after u make it. Scrumptious!1

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1/2-1 c
green bell pepper
1/2 c
onions
1 can(s)
vegetable soup (use campbell's)
1 can(s)
peas, canned, save the juice
1/2 pkg
egg noodles, cooked

How to Make MERT'S HOTDISH

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown the ground beef, green pepper and onions together, drain. Add vegetable soup,undiluted; peas w/the juice and stir in the egg noodles. Mix altoghter well and let simmer on the stove for 20-30 minutes or u could bake it in the oven for the same amount of time on 325*. Make sure u check it, so it doesn't dry out. I generally let it simmer on top of the stove.
