Memere's Dynamites

Emily Brunetti

My whole family loves this recipe. My memere passed it down to her 5 children. My mom and her siblings all make it for my cousins and me at the many family gatherings we have. It feeds a large number of people and it doesn't cost a lot to make. My memere always added a few extra vegetables and cut them up really small so we wouldn't notice them.
My memere had to really stretch a dollar as far as she could to feed 3 boys and 2 girls, my pepere, and great-grandmother on one pay check from the mill. Everytime we eat them, we think of her and how much we love and miss her.
