Ingredients

  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 3 - eggs, beaten
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 3 pounds fresh mushrooms
  • 1 1/3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cans mushroom soup
  • 2 cans water (from soup can)
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make meatballs in mushroom sauce

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, mix ground beef, eggs,onions, bread crumbs, milk, salt and pepper thoroughly. Form into balls. Place on baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Clean mushrooms thoroughly and slice. Saute lightly in butter.
  • Step 3
    Alternate layers of meatballs and mushrooms in slow cooker. Add mushroom soup diluted with water. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours until thoroughly heated.
