meatballs in mushroom gravy
(2 RATINGS)
My family loves this and requests it often. Actually my son at 2 years old, (after going with his Dad golfing a few days earlier) when asked what we were having for dinner, he excitedly told his Dad, "Golf Ball Stew". So for the last 29 years that's been the name of this in our family.

How To Make meatballs in mushroom gravy
-
Step 1Mix beef, onion, salt and pepper together and form into meatballs. Cook on 350 degrees for about 30 minutes until brown. Reserve drippings. Choose a pot large enough for meatballs as well as gravy. Add mushroom soup, salt and pepper. Whisk until thoroughly mixed and add 4 cans of water. Bring to a slow simmer, stirring often. When meatballs are done, add them as well as the drippings to the gravy. Allow to simmer while you are preparing the rice. Serve meatballs and gravy over rice.
