- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 - garlic clove, minced
- 1 - egg, lightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 3/4 cup dried bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons basil, crumbled
- 1 can tomato sauce
How To Make meatballs for spaghetti

Step 1Combine the beef, bread crumbs, garlic, parsley, basil, egg and pepper.

Step 2Mix thoroughly and shape into balls 1 inch in diameter.

Step 3Melt the oil in a saucepan.

Step 4Brown the meatballs lightly on all sides; drain off the fat.

Step 5Add tomato sauce, cover, and simmer 40 minutes.

Step 6Serve over spaghetti.
