ingredients for the meatballs
1 lb
ground chuck
1/2 c
italian bread crumbs
1/2 c
egg, beaten
small, sweet onion, chopped fine
ingredients for the sauce
1/2 c
1/2 c
catalina salad dressing
1 tsp
butter, melted
1 tsp
white vinegar
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
small, sweet onion chopped
1 1/2 Tbsp
brown sugar, firmly packed

How to Make Meatballs and sauce


  • 1Mix all meatball ingredients and form into small, meatballs (slightly larger than the diameter of a quarter. Put meatballs into preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Make the sauce. Turn meatballs and pour sauce over them. Put back in oven for 30 more minutes.
  • 2You can make these meatballs ahead of time and freeze. Then simply thaw, make sauce and cook.I usually make two batches -- eat one and freeze one for later. This recipe doubles easily.
