The fresh mushrooms make this especially delicious. It is great served with baked potatoes,mashed potatoes, noodles or rice.

Ingredients For meatball stroganoff

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 pinch
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
    chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil for frying meatballs
  • 1/4 c
    butter for browning mushrooms
  • 1/2 lb
    fresh button mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 c
    minced fresh onions
  • 3/4 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 can
    beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream

How To Make meatball stroganoff

    Combine beef, milk,bread crumbs,salt,pepper and fresh parsley; form into meatballs. I make about 24-28; or 1 & 1/2" size; and brown in oil.

    In a separate frypan melt butter and saute the minced onions and fresh mushrooms. Add paprika,flour,beef broth,Optional *Worcestershire sauce and cook about fifteen minutes longer. Stir gently.

    Then add sour cream and simmer ten minutes.*optional seasoning- I used Berber Spice this time which is a mixture of Paprika, garlic,salt, coriander, chili,onion,cinnamon, ginger,pepper and others! I started with 1/2 tsp., and added another 1/2 tsp. instead of the Worcestershire sauce. I accidentlly used the whole cup of sour cream!
