A nice Italian twist on regular meatloaf. Feel free to top the meatloaf with your favorite pasta sauce or sauce of your choice; however, meatloaf can be baked and served as is.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 6 ounces italian sausage, casings removed (hot or sweet - your preference)
  • 1 can 14.5 oz. can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped (or color of your choice)
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • - can be topped with your favorite pasta sauce or any sauce of your choice

How To Make meat loaf - italian style

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a bowl; mix well.
  • Step 2
    Place meat into an 8x4.5 inch glass baking dish. If preferred, spoon your favorite pasta sauce over the top or a sauce of your choice. Can be baked just as is.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees F - 65 to 75 minutes or until no longer pink in the center.
