This is a great meal for dinner! My family loves this and request to have it at least once a week!! ;-) Also is low fat!

Ingredients

  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 2/3 c
    fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    finely choped onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    snippid fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried leaf sage crushed
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard

How to Make Meat Loaf

Step-by-Step

  1. In a medium bowl combine eggs and milk; stir in bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, sage, and pepper. Add ground meat; mix well. Lightly pat mixture into an 6x4 glass baking dish.
  2. Mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Pour over the meat loaf covering all with brush.
  3. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until internal temperature registers 160 degrees F.
  4. Remove from grease. Let cool for 10 min. on platter before slicing.
