Dad's favorite with Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/3 c
    tomato juice
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 c
  • ·
    salt and pepper

  • 1/4 c
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar

How to Make Meat Loaf


  1. Mix all ingredients until well blended excluding topping ingredients. Press into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
  2. Combine ingredients for topping and spoon over meat mixture covering all evenly. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 min. Drain any fat in pan before serving. Great served with mashed potato.
