My family's favorite they are not swedish or italian but they don't taste like bbq either so maybe good old rich american meatball nobody likes the heels of the bread so I save and freeze them for the recipe take them out while still hard and shred them or you can use a blender I have done it both ways The orginal recipe calls for dry white wine and since nobody drinks wine around here I tried the plain white wine coolers (they come in four packs)so I had to make another batch

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds hamburger
  • 4 slices bread crumbs, fresh
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 - dry onion soup mix
  • 2 bottles bbq sauce
  • 1 bottle white dry wine or 2 bottles of wine coolers

How To Make meat balls

  • Step 1
    Mix hamburger, bread crumbs, egg, envelope of soup mix. Roll into balls and fry in pan until browned. with slotted spoon put in crock pot Pour wine and bbq sauce over and cook for at least 6 hours on high. There will be a orange oil on top scoop out with a spoon and then your'e ready to serve over rice. My kids ate some made into a meatball sandwich didn't have much rice that night lol
