Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb
    round steak
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1
    clove garlic, minced
  • 3/4 c
    vinegar
  • 3/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce

How to Make Maxine's Cowboy Steak

Step-by-Step

  1. Slice the steak into 1 inch squares and brown it in a frying pan in the oil.
  2. Place the steak in a 2 quart casserole dish.
  3. Put the rest of the ingredients in the frying pan.
  4. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Pour over steak.
  6. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  7. Uncover and bake 1/2 hour.
  8. Serve over rice or noodles.
